My Story

I am a writer and filmmaker, lover of the strange and unexplained, a recovering student-athlete, and a curious creator.

I have been involved in the arts since I was young, having attended a performing arts high school, studied improv and sketch comedy at The Second City Chicago, taken guitar lessons for seven years, and been raised in a creatively-minded family.

"Anything you want to make is worth making. All you need to be a creator is an audience of one, you."

My Philosophy

I have been an imaginative storyteller from a young age, spinning tales of scary chairs and mysterious woods since I was in kindergarten. As a writer, I'm drawn to science-fiction, horror, speculative fiction, and romantic comedies. I strive to use genre conventions to explore the intricacies of what it means to be human.

My philosophy is that without writers to tell stories there are no characters to identify with, no lessons to learn, no heroes to hail and no villains to hate. There are no eyes to open or assumptions to challenge. We need stories to learn, to grow, to heal, to grieve; without storytellers to share them, the world is emptier.

I am an active advocate for representation, ending the stigmas around mental health, and creating environments for newcomers to learn and grow.

I have been recognized for my creative work and advocacy by The University of Kansas Student Involvement and Leadership Center. I was nominated for Student Leader of the Year in 2020.

My Work Ethic

I am a writer and jack-of-all-trades production extraordinaire. In my past, I've held on-set roles ranging from director/producer, AD, AC, script coordinator to gaffer, boom-op, and of course, production assistant.

As a screenwriter I have always believed that you have to understand the on-set implications of your script, that's why I've strived to assist in as many production-based roles as possible.

In a post-production capacity, I have edited a variety of projects including podcasts, ads, music videos, narrative fiction/non-fiction shorts, and have experience cutting full-length projects down to shareable social media length versions.

I am open to any and all creative endeavors and am always seeking new and exciting opportunities to tell stories.
